Well, COVID-19 has made a huge impact in our lifes over the past few weeks. It is hard to picture when it will end and when we will resume our usual acitvities. For now the club meetings in person are on hold and until further notice. In the meantime we are going virtual with a video conference type meeting every other week to stay in touch.
We did a test trial April 14th and it worked great, we will have to adjust a few things moving forward but it was nice to fine a way to be together and discuss scale auto modelling for a bit. If you wish to join us for our next virtual meeting, send me a request and I will share the invitation link with you. You will need either a laptop or a computer equipped with a webcam and microphone to enjoy the full experience.
Club life is on hold and we will not proceed with office elections until we can meet again with quorum. Doug and I will remain Treasurer and President. Gerry B will step down from Vice-President role in May and we will be looking for a replacement if you feel up for it.
Contest is rescheduled for September 19th but we will confirm as we get closer and pending how the COVID19 situation develops...
Here are some pictures of what our club members have been working on:

Gerry C's latest mustang coupe. Nice work!

Gerry C's latest work in progress. Ranchero Galaxy in blue pearl.

Nice progress on Gene's reproduction of the Fast and Furious blue Camaro

Another Fast and Furious replica for Gene, the Ford Escort if well underway as well.

Brian is working on a great Jaguar XJ 220.

Christophe shared his recently finished Bullitt replica 50 years after. It was built for the Famous Movie Car contest theme.

Christophe is working on a transam largely inspired from the Hoonigan version above. This one is a Formula 400 mixed with a Skyline GTR all wheel drive driveline. Christophe's version will start as a firebird and have a similar stance but remain with the original kit driveline. Only major change to match the look is the set back of the engine in the frame and through the firewall. The front splitter is coming along too.

See you in 2 weeks!
Great photos of in progress and finished kits. This covid virus has really knocked everything for a loop. I also belong to IPMS Victoria and our contest that was to be May 2020 is in limbo till 2021..?.....I have about 7 large plastic totes full of raffle kits stashed in my condo building crawl space, so if aliens abduct me, you know. SPAM is getting together in Gord Bradley's driveway on June 25 th. Cheers GordE
