News from the last meeting
Christophe is working on the small cards for the hobby shops to distribute to their customers. The new card proposed is referencing both the club meetings and the upcoming show. As it will be obsolete after March 2020, Christophe will also update the current card with the updated contact info.
The Model Show will have a table for the Make N Take for kids that will be animated by Valentine (13) and Lucie (8). There will be a $5 participation fee for the kids who want to build one of the kits.
Gerry Bamforth is taking vendor table reservations for the show. He has 14 registered to date.
The members discussed the recent IPMS show. There was a good success with lots of interesting models on display as can be seen on a separate blog post.
Next meeting will be the last one of the year. We will start a tradition initiated last year by Gerry Chevalier in preparation of Christmas: all attendees will bring a wrapped model kit and we leave with another one after playing a game to assign the gifts. The kit must be complete and not started. In addition, and exceptionally, the meeting will be at Gerry’s house 886 Cornell Avenue in Coquitlam 7pm in celebration of his upcoming birthday.
What’s on the bench?
Gene Lee brought a resin kit sourced from Hiroboy to replicate the fast and Furious Veilside Fortune RX7. A nice project for sure!

Gerry Chevalier had a lot of resin kits with various quality for us to see and purchase if interested. The AC featuring on the magazine cover was one of them and the casting was super crisp.

Here a few pictures of the other work in progress from our fellow members:

And here are the raffle ticket prizes for this meeting:

The lucky winner left the meeting with the Oldsmobile.
What will be discussed in the next meeting?
We should review the club cards.
We will have our Christmas gift exchange tradition
We hope to see you there!
New members and visitors are always welcome! Our next meeting will be December 10th at the 886 Cornell Ave in Coquitlam, from 7pm to 9pm.
